Main Purpose of Job:

To provide support to the Procurement team and SPAs across the Metals locations.

**Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
Goods and Services (Indirect)

  • Groundwork and preparation of tender documents for the supply of MRO / Site Services.
  • Manage tender processes.
  • Cost control.

Raw Materials (Direct)

  • Materials Management.
  • Working with the VIM Planning Manager to manage raw material inventory targets / melt plan.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Manager to manage raw material inventory targets / production plan.
  • Raising of purchase order requisitions using Tropos and Optimat computer systems
- _Booking into stock raw materials in accordance with Company procedures, including analysis results _

  • Forecast demand volumes of virgin elementals and revert based on production schedule and customer orders, raising the requests for purchase order generation
  • Assist with managing of the stores
  • Managing scrap sales.
  • Import SPA
  • Audit support
  • Cover for Procurement Administrator when absent

Knowledge

  • Awareness of manufacturing processes
  • Technical/materials
  • Approvals/quality systems
  • Business Finance
  • Full understanding of key business areas to include; Financial, Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Maintenance, MRO

Aptitudes Required

  • Ability to meet deadlines by effectively prioritising your own workload
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Good IT skills across the Microsoft suite of packages
  • Ability to utilise inhouse IT software / programmes effectively
  • Ability to work using your own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Organized
  • Advance user of MS Excel.
  • CIPS/MCIPS preferred but not essential
    Experience
  • Experience working as a Purchasing Coordinator, in Materials Management or similar within a fastpaced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • 3 years of previous work experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment
