Hotel Services Assistant

Weldmar Salary Scale:
£22,379 FTE


£8,951.60 pro rata for 15 hours per week

(8-week rota to include one working weekend in four)

Weldmar's Hotel Services team is looking for a positive and experienced individual who can assist in maintaining the highest levels of

cleanliness at our sites.
Enhancements for working weekends and bank holidays

7.5 hour shifts patterns between 6am and 4pm

As a hospice charity, Weldmar Hospicecare's Inpatient Unit, and other sites, require the highest standards of cleanliness.

As a Hotel Services Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for following cleaning schedules in areas such as patient wards and family areas, offices, catering facilities and Orangery restaurant, making sure that infection prevention guidelines are followed.


We are looking for an individual with a positive and flexible approach, as the role includes a variety of tasks across both Housekeeping and Catering.


Ideally, you'll have proven work experience in Hospitality or healthcare establishment, and have a good customer service ethos with the ability to work with sensitivity, tact and discretion around patients.


You should have, or be prepared to work towards, BICS license to practice, CIEH accredited food hygiene level 2 or higher, and have knowledge of infection prevention principles.

Training for basic IT skills is available.

All care is provided free of charge and mainly funded by the continued support of our local community, via fundraising initiatives and events, our retail chain, and gifts left in wills, enabling us to raise the £26,000 we need every day to keep our services going.
