To be successful in this position, you will have/be;

Responsible for substantiating and delivering certification activity across multiple projects in collaboration with authorities, (A) DOA-approved companies, airframe manufacturers and/or MROs (maintenance, repair organisations)nInterpreting certification requirements and apply to the project or case in handnKeeping certification programmes to minimal risk levels with efficient use of resources and test articlesnChallenging the authorities where appropriate in order to agree on an efficient route through certificationnWorking with the design data and guidance materials to produce good quality and compliant documentationnTake responsibility for the progress of certification and technical publication documentation against project plan(s) to ensure documentation is available when expected and required by the customernBuild strong relationships both internally and externally with authorities, aircraft manufacturers, (A) DOA-approved companies, suppliers and customers (operator)nWorking across the engineering and manufacturing divisions of the business to deliver Certification programmes in line with engineering and production schedulesnEnsuring all design and repairs completed and products delivered meet the certification and continued airworthiness requirements without compromise to airworthiness and/or safety

Skills and experience required


An engineering degreenDemonstrable experience in writing and reviewing test plans, reports and qualification documentsnMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be computer literatenMust work well using their initiativenThe ability to analyse and recommend a course of action and/or provide innovative solutionsnMust be able to make clear and unambiguous decisions, passing these on in situations of extreme pressurenMust have the confidence and initiative to challenge others where necessarynPerform compliance verification tasks in relation to certificationnExperience in authoring modification paperwork for an Aerospace application.

nThe ability to travel for support and witness

Highly Desirable:
Previous experience working in an Aerospace qualification/certification rolenDemonstrable experience in dealing with Aerospace authorities and airframe manufacturersnPrevious experience with a structured problem-solving methodologynExperience in the certification process of aircraft cabin equipmentnExperience, knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Seating and the applicable regulatory guidance materialnPrevious experience as a CVE for a part 21 (A)DOAnStrong negotiation and interpersonal skills
