Accounts Assistant

Our client is a successful professional services business, based in Birmingham. Due to their continued growth, they now have a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the business and provide internal accounting and administrative supportto the finance team.
About the role
This role would suit a responsible and ambitious individual, looking for a new role in a growing business.
Reporting to the finance team, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for a number of internal finance procedures, as well as reporting requirements.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Raising all authorised purchase order requests;
- Collating purchase invoices and processing on Basecone and Twinfield systems;
- Running and distributing timesheets summary, credit card statements and process journals;
- Reconciling petty cash and processing petty cash journals for all offices;
- Reconciling sales ledgers, accruals and prepayment journals;
- Providing support forannual functions, including admin financials and audits;
- Work closely with the wider finance team and the credit control team when required;
- Assist in daily banking as and when required.
The ideal person
The person will be proactive and confident, with an excellent attention to detail. They will have strong reconciliation, numeric and grammar skills, and be able to work effectively to deadlines.
