After School and Holiday Club Assistant

We are looking for someone to join our team at Ted's After School and Holiday Club.
We are a Ofsted registered After School Club that provides after school care for children aged between 4-11 years old in Captain Ted's children's entertainment centre in the heart of Gosforth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our prestigious team.There is great variety in the post with training given in all areas. You will be hands on and one day is never the same as another.
Hours:
Between Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 6.15pm Term Time. Holiday club hours by agreement
Salary:
Negotiatble, dependent upon experience
Primary Responsibilities:
Walking the children to captain Ted's from different sites
Assist in the supervision and welfare of children who attend the after school club.
Organising the setting out and clearing away of resources to create a purposeful and attractive learning environment.
Supervising a wide range of play and learning activities.
Supervision of play frame and providing general help for children who may require additional assistance or indeed be unsure of play frame.
Cleaning - Every member of staff has responsibilities for ensuring a high level of cleanliness at all times throughout the whole of Captain Ted's including toilets.
Experience
Essential - Level 2 or above in childcare.
DBS and paediatric first aid certificate required.
Qualities & Attitude
Essential - Ability to communicate well with children and their parents / Reliable and able to work as part of a team / Creative, energetic, enthusiastic and fun./ Ability to motivate self & others / Flexible worker / Proactive Worker/ Eye for detail.
Must be willing to undertake relevant training and attend meetings as requested.
