Galvion designs, develops, and manufactures ballistic helmets and dynamic power and data management solutions for the modern battlefield.

Reporting to the Group COO, the Vice President of Operations (North America) plays a critical role in leading and managing manufacturing operations across three sites and providing leadership to the local plant managers.

Their responsibilities encompass overseeing various aspects of production, from planning to day-to-day execution.

In this hands-on role, they will work with Corporate Shared Services team to drive a high-performance team by improving leadership across all levels of the assigned facility.

The focus of this role will be primarily on the Newport, VT plant – the largest manufacturing facility in Galvion and will require an on-site presence for at least 3 days per week.

Provide clear leadership and direction to local plant managers on a day-to-day basis to achieve production targets via KPIs and SMART goals.

Continuously evaluate and optimize production processes via Lean Manufacturing Techniques to reduce cost, improve throughput and deliver a high-quality product consistently and on time.

Monitor P&L performance and execute to achieve OPEX standards.
Ensure monthly and quarterly revenue targets are met consistently while maintaining all the safety and regulatory standards.

Partner with the Supply Chain leader to maintain correct levels of inventory and working capital without impacting the delivery performance.

Drive implementation of Operational Excellence continuous improvement processes and Lean Six Sigma principles across all facilities.
Build strong working relationships with all other Corporate Shared Services (HR, Finance, IT, Quality and BD)
Instrumental in execution of short- and long-term corporate goals.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Ability to multi-task and follow through on multiple projects simultaneously
Working understanding of site utilities – Able to converse and challenge vendors throughout the project life cycle
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems and regulatory requirements (ideally within Aerospace & Defense or Precision Manufacturing)
Financial acumen and budget management expertise
MBA or equivalent Professional Qualification in Business Management - Essential
Master's degree in Operations Management or Industrial Management - Preferred
Project Management or Supply Chain qualification – Preferred
