We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 121 Support Specialist to work alongside a remarkable student, starting as soon as you clear our compliance checks.

In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to a student's educational journey and make a real difference.


Position Details:

  • Job Role: SEN 121 Support Specialist
  • Location: Langley Moore, Durham
Working Hours: 12:30 am - 3:30 pm, 5 days per week

  • Term: Starting immediately and continuing through the next academic year

Responsibilities:
As a SEN 121 Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our student within the school environment

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing onetoone assistance and support to the student throughout the day
  • Ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times, particularly during potential seizure events
  • Assisting with the student's integration into classroom activities, promoting inclusion and participation
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents to implement individualized educational plans
  • Offering emotional support and encouragement to foster the student's confidence and independence

Requirements:

  • Genuine passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Relevant experience working with SEN students (preferred, but not essential)
  • Valid background checks and clearances
