Job Description

The EMEA Chemicals Product Manager is a key position within the Product Management Team at Magnaflux (a division of ITW). This position leverages first-hand understanding of customer needs, products, applications expertise, excellent communication skills, and leadership instincts to drive new product development activities and decisions that maintain the position of Magnaflux as the premium supplier of NDT products in the EMEA market.

The primary responsibilities of this role include working closely with cross functional teams and engaging with end-users/distributors to drive the new product development process, providing technical support for sales, developing and implementing go-to-market plans, and pricing to meet revenue and profit targets for the EMEA Chemicals product line. This is achieved through customer and applications understanding via personal NDT experience and voice of the customer research. The role is also responsible for providing regular communication, support, and training to sales and channel partners.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and participate in Innovation/VOC exercises around EMEA Chemicals products. Utilize this information to create a business case and clear value proposition to define new products for launch regionally.
  • Partner with EMEA R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams to develop and execute a robust Innovation Roadmap to achieve Magnaflux Innovation Targets for the Chemicals line.
  • Lead the innovation process for EMEA Chemicals products through each state gate, including exploration for new technologies, to ensure strong competitive differentiation while also meeting time to market expectations.
  • Provide both internal/external product training, and other related Go-to-Market activities as part of new product launches.
  • Perform market research, competitive analysis, and business data (product unit volumes, revenue and margin) reporting to understand business trends, and make informed decisions for current and future product direction.
  • Work with the EMEA Marketing Team to support and maintain marketing plans, advertising, and sales tools including brochures, product descriptions, application notes, web content, etc.
  • Lead cost/price analysis and set pricing and general sales policies for the EMEA chemicals product line to achieve expected margins.
  • Leverage aspects of the ITW Business Model in all aspects of product management and decision making
  • Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • The ability and willingness to make decisions regarding all aspects of the product line, with a strong preference for data-driven analysis.
  • Must have a strong understanding and appreciation for industrial chemical products, B2B consumables sales, and product testing.
  • This knowledge level is acquired via completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field and/or Engineering as well as 3-5 years of marketing, product management and/or sales experience in a manufacturing company environment. Advanced technical or business-related degree an advantage.
  • Must have a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Must have a good working understanding of selling and marketing in the EMEA region.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint. (Power BI and Salesforce experience an advantage).

Additional Information:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% required in the UK and Europe. Travel will be required depending on product lifecycle and business requirements. Travel amounts will vary depending on where the product is in the life cycle; but could involve anything from day trips to 1-week excursions.
