As a Barclays Lead Data Scientist, you will drive the innovation of our data solutions and increase our capabilities to provide trends and insights into our Products.

As part of the Global Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS) Product Management team you will work closely with our platform teams to ensure continuity of information and how it's used.

By supporting Product Managers in delivering analytics and insight, we can add value and GTIS Product Management can make informed decisions on the future of our Products.

What will you be doing?:

  • Working closely with the Product Managers to gather requirements and build data marts
  • Collaborating with Product Management to define requirements, and undertaking analysis and provide insight
  • Being responsible for the successful delivery of teamowned data platform solutions
  • Automating repeatable processes with robust and configurable solutions
  • Taking care of continuous Improvement of offering as part of a wider Finops function providing Consumption management and Optimisation Product Insight
  • Driving the innovation of our data solutions
  • Increasing our capabilities to provide trends and insights into our Products

What we're looking for:

  • Solid stakeholder management with ability to work at any level of seniority, and build relationships and maintain them.
  • Excellent communication skills, and a person who can clearly articulate their findings/ thoughts through all communication mediums
  • Problem solving mind set with the ability and willingness to get into the details to find solutions

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience in translating technical communications to non-technical colleagues
  • Tableau dashboard creation and maintenance experience
  • Experience in basic SQL query creation

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.

The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.

The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
