Childcare Practitioner

  • Part time
  • Permanent (term time)
£11.35 per hour

We are looking for a Childcare practitioner to join our team for 18 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 3pm - 6pm

Friday: 12pm to 6pm

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with planning and delivering a suitable and varied programme of activities.
  • Supervising and supporting children in a range of activities.
  • Setting up and tidying away activities.
  • Assisting with food preparation.
  • Promoting the club's policies and values.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards in line with policies and regulations.
  • Following safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Administration duties relevant to the day to day operation of the club.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities
  • Supervising junior staff and deputising for Club manager on occasion.

You will need:

  • To be enthusiastic, caring, encouraging and patient.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
  • To work well in a team and communicate effectively and openly.
  • To be punctual and reliable.
  • A childcare qualification at SCQF level 7 or be working towards one.
  • 1 years experience working in a childcare setting preferred.
The position requires a Disclosure Scotland check and registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

We aim to provide fun, quality out of school care in a safe environment and for this care to be affordable and accessible to families.
