Our award-winning nursery, Greendale, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic nursery Room Leader to join their team This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week over 4 days between 7.30am and 6.00pm, according to a weekly rota.

As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading the team to provide the best care possible to the children.


Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the team within a designated room in the nursery, with a fair and consistent approach
  • Help deliver the programmes outlined for the children
  • Developing observations and planning along with individual educational and care plans
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies
  • Contribute to team meetings
  • Any other duties as required by management

Essential criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or be working towards)
  • Previous experience in a day nursery or childcare setting
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual and able to handle the physical demands of the job
  • Patient with a positive attitude
