Position Summary:

Working Hours: 12 hour continental shifts, based on a 4 on/ 4 off pattern across nights and days. This will include workings weekends and bank holidays.

Main Accountability:

Working within our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant you will be involved in the following:

Responsibilities

  • Completing Lab Analysis and recording the results
  • Completing the AD Plant iMax Checks
  • Operating the AD Plant vehicles (Kubota, GAPO and FLT)
  • Operating the AD Plant equipment to maintain feed rates (unboxing product, loading/ unloading bins, contacting SRDC)
  • Requesting Agency Work Force when required
  • Completing basic inspection and maintenance routines on AD Plant equipment
  • Monitoring the AD Plant Control System and adjusting inputs/ outputs as necessary training given
  • Investigating issues and escalating to the Outside MT when necessary
  • Covering opposite block holidays/sickness
  • Assisting and completing tasks given by AD Plant Manager, AD Plant Technician and Outside MT
  • Liaising with Waste Contractors to ensure constant ability to process factory waste (RDF, Bio-Fertiliser, Coventry Bins quantities, etc)
  • Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards of AD Plant
  • Attending Shift Hand Over / Take Over Meetings
  • Reacting to CAT3 spillages and reporting accordingly

Qualifications

  • Confident communicator with a positive selfstarter attitude who is conscientious and focused on results
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn how to operate equipment in an autonomous role
  • Basic numerical, reading, analytical and computer skills
  • Organised and methodical person, but not afraid of working under pressure
  • Flexible and proactive person with the ability to solve basic problems
