***JAB Design is an Architectural Practice based in the centre of Sutton Coldfield working largely on residential projects from a domestic level, bespoke new build dwellings and small to medium sized developments. We also work on projects in the Educationsector and Commercial projects.

Your new role


JAB Design has an immediate vacancy for a Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist to join our team in Sutton Coldfield, on a full-time basis.

Skills and responsibilities for this Senior Architectural Technician:

  • Able to take a proactive approach to problem solving and not require supervision
  • Ability to multitask and assist on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Carry out design risk assessments
  • Evaluate the health and safety of design
  • In depth understanding of building technology
  • Experience of Residential and Commercial projects
  • Archicad Experience desirable

Essentials needed for this Senior Architectural Technician:

  • Excellent design skills
  • A good track record of producing technical drawings and details for tender and construction
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • AutoCAD Experience desirable
  • Good organisational and presentational skills
  • Strong understanding of building technology
  • Full UK Driving licence

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)
  • HNC / HND / BTEC National Diploma
  • Other Appropriate Qualifications considered

Experience:

  • 5 years or more (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (preferred)
