Job Title: Group Accountant (Fixed-Term)

We are looking for a Group Accountant to join a rapidly expanding company in Cambridge for a temporary 6-9 month contract. This opportunity is perfect for a newly qualified individual eager to enhance their skills or for a seasoned accountant looking to excel in a modern and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end and year-end entries, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in external audit processes by providing information and addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Handle various tax reporting duties like VAT, US sales tax, and corporate tax as needed.
  • Utilize reporting tools to offer valuable business insights.
  • Prepare budgets and reforecasts.
  • Address forecast inquiries from within the organization.
  • Support ongoing finance projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical expertise, with a focus on accounting software.
  • Highly proficient in numerical tasks.
  • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and superb organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
  • Familiarity with UK and/or international accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in systems and Excel.
