Must be available to start Tuesday 28th May 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and fit shop fit materials such as MDF and plywood according to specifications
  • Assemble and install joinery components such as, till podia cabinets, and furniture
  • Install hardware and fittings such as hinges, handles, and locks
  • Repair or replace damaged joinery components
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure proper installation of joinery
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on construction sites

Skills:

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and precise fitting of joinery components
  • Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time
  • Familiar with shopfitting
