Job Summary:

Avantor is looking for an organised and customer focused Sales Administrator to work within the Customer Service team.


Your main responsibility will be to provide administrative support to our account management function to ensure that we are exceeding our customer's expectations and providing a market-leading customer experience.

This role will be a full-time, hybrid position with occasional travel to the Chorley site.

Avantor's Sales Administrator is part of a team of 9, with a high-performing culture that is responsible for processing customer orders, resolving customer issues and expediting back orders.


What we're looking for

  • 13 years of relevant experience in a customer relationship type role such as sales or call centre
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with members of the immediate team, as well as employees in other departments, while demonstrating the ability to work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills required; must be able to work in multiple systems concurrently, often using multiple monitors
  • SAP experience highly desirable

How you will thrive and create an impact
The sales Administrator owns the customer request and experience from initiation to conclusion.

Processes, via computer, all customer requests. Utilizes multiple and often complex systems, programs, and monitors in order to research information.

Researches and resolves customer issues, expedites back orders, handles requests for returns and other special requests.

Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
