Duties:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care
  • Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or physician
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Skills:

  • Proficient in using IT systems for documentation and record keeping
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different locations (if applicable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred
