We are seeking a caretaker, who is reliable, conscientious, a good team member and self-motivated, to join our team of dedicated staff.

Our whole school community has a strong ethos of care and support, which is underpinned by our strong Christian values.

Our caretaker plays a key role in ensuring that the physical environment is a place where our children feel safe, comfortable and ready to learn.

You will have a good basic knowledge of buildings maintenance, together with patience, resilience and a genuine wish to make a difference to the lives of our children.

Main responsibilities would include:

- unlocking the building at the start of the school day
- regular health and safety checks
- other site maintenance and caretaking tasks
- minor repairs
- regular grounds maintenance (summer months).

There may be a requirement to unlock and lock up for lettings in the evenings, so flexibility is essential. These hours would be paid in addition to the annual salary at time and a half.

This can be a physically demanding role and does require a child-friendly approach.

In return, we can offer:

- employee benefits including pension, well-being service and cycle2work scheme
- flexible working hours during school holidays, by prior agreement
- a wide range of professional development opportunities
- a supportive working environment.
