Hampton Tutors Ltd. is a tutoring and academic coaching agency based in Edinburgh. We have a sister company based in Seattle, USA. We specialise in supporting students of all ages who are atypical learners. We work with students in an academic context to develop content mastery, Executive Function skills, and mental wellness.


As we grow, we are looking to work with academic coaches and tutors who are able to support students with Special Educational Needs.

In particular we need people who have experience supporting students who have:

  • ADHD
  • ASD
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyscalculia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Anxiety disorder
  • Executive Function disorders (e.g. working memory issues)
We provide additional onboarding support to help you get up to speed on the way we approach academic coaching.


Most of our coaching is done in the student's home; some is online, but applicants should be willing to travel in Edinburgh (we compensate for the costs of longer-distance travel).


Our coaches retain full control over their timetable and scheduling - we allow you to pick and choose the students you want to work with, and there is no minimum hourly requirement.

We do, however, require you to complete the school year with a student unless by mutual arrangement.

We are looking for professional, dynamic, and personable people to support our team of students. Spring is a busy time of year, so we're hoping to add to our team before exam season.

Applicants should have a full and active PVG so as to speed up the onboarding process.
