£360 per day, Umbrella - Inside IR35

You will be working for a MOD client who do make a real difference.

This role is within the Content Learning Design team (CLD) and currently working to the SO1 CLD Team Leader and will include:

  • Analysing written content requirements and documenting appropriate writing style for the audience.
  • Researching, creating, editing, curating/adapting written content (including questions, feedback and assessments) employing written techniques such as analogies to explain complex information, and written in an engaging style suitable for online learning. To include supporting material such as 'Howto' guides, storyboards for video and audio.
  • Implementing elearning editorial strategies, standard operating procedures and content standards to ensure content complies with MOD and Defence Academy branding, values and ethos.
  • Liaising with stakeholders.
  • Sharing your knowledge with the team and wider Academy.

Essential skills / experience:

  • Accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of using adaptable writing skills in an educational capacity.
  • Ability to implement accessibility in writing.
  • Attention to detail essential for proofreading your own content and that produced by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or other members of the team;
  • Ability to conceive creative written ideas and work to a deadline;
  • Good team skills: you should be comfortable working within a small team of specialists, and liaising with staff from across the Academy. You should also be prepared to share knowledge, support your eLT colleagues and wider Defence Academy staff when required.
  • Continuous selfimprovement to maintain your technical expertise.

Desirable skills / experience:

  • An understanding of:
  • Visual design including typography and formatting.
  • Elearning development using MOODLE and H5P is advantageous.
