Our client has a growing company in the energy industry, and are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
This is an exciting chance to contribute to the success of the company and work in a dynamic industry.
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales, purchase, and cash ledgers of the companies within the Group.
Your excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts mailbox, promptly and professionally addressing invoices, statements, and queries.
- Facilitate the approvals process for supplier invoices and accurately
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Generate payment runs and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll documentation for the payroll provider and process payroll journals.
- Complete monthly CIS returns and address supplier CIS queries.
- Conduct monthly credit card and bank reconciliations.
- Raise purchase orders and process card payments
- Create sales invoices within Sage
- Confident communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience using Sage 50, specifically in sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank modules.
Our client has a beautiful rural office - located just outside Exeter with Free Parking but you will need to drive to get there.
This role is full time based in office, with no hybrid working - but some flexibility around working hours and a great team to work alongside.
