The Opportunity:


The post-holder will be expected to provide timely, accurate and up-to-date research management information and work closely with the Head of RKEI and the Research Director to develop and manage procedures and policies relating to research activities to maximise service quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

The post-holder will also line-manage research project staff supporting their performance management and development and will provide administrative support for the co-ordination of arrangements for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Either HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications plus a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience or Broad experience (typically a minimum of 5 years), acquired through a combination of job related training and considerable on-the-job experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant work/roles
  • Proven highquality communication, liaison, presentation and relationshipbuilding skills, with evidence of the ability to persuade and negotiate.
  • Highly developed timemanagement and organisational skills, with an experience of dealing with conflicting demands and prioritising workload in a fastpaced environment. Ability to sustain a high level of performance under pressure.
  • Ability to construct written presentations, gather and analyse information and report on it accurately. Line management or supervisory experience.
