As an Construction Project Manager, you'll report directly to the Development and Finance Director.
Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the development of new Taco Bell restaurants, as well as managing renovations and expansions of existing locations.
This role extends to both Taco Bell-owned properties and guiding third-party franchise businesses to maintain brand standards. Additionally, you'll coordinate major maintenance projects and ad hoc initiatives across the estate.The Day-to-Day:
Collaborate with the Acquisition Lead and external consultants to plan and execute new store developments.nProvide guidance to franchisees to ensure adherence to brand standards throughout the scope of work.nLead the refurbishment program for Taco Bell-owned properties.nGenerate weekly progress reports to track project milestones.nEvaluate and report on the performance of contractors and consultants involved in projects.nSelect, coordinate, and manage external consultants and contractors for project completion.nDevelop project briefs, solicit tenders, and oversee works on-site within budget and quality standards.nPrepare budgets, obtain approvals, and effectively manage project costs.nImplement design concepts, equipment layouts, and brand standards.nCollaborate with franchisees to ensure compliance with brand standards and contractual agreements.nSecure all necessary consents for works, including planning permissions and building regulations.
A professional qualification in Project Management or Building Surveying (e.g., HNC/HND minimum, Degree, RICS, MCIOB, BSc).nExtensive experience in a similar role within the construction industry.nIdeally, experience in managing projects within a national multi-unit franchise retail environment.nDemonstrated success in brownfield site developments and high street conversions.nAbility to work nationwide across the UK.nValid clean driving license with willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.nAbility to collaborate effectively with individuals across various disciplines and organizational levels.nProven drive for results and commitment to high standards of work.nComfortable working both collaboratively in a team and autonomously while on the road.nProficiency in process-oriented work with the capacity for strategic thinking.
