Summary

• To support the Night Supervisors with operations of the hotel during the night shift.
• To facilitate guests requests and enquiries.
• Ensure all necessary security requirements are met.
• Complete the night audit process. To carry out all duties to a fivestar standard.
• Complete endofday activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date.
• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process adjustment vouchers, paidouts, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
• Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency.
• Sell room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability.
• Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wakeup calls, and advise guest of any messages.
• Complete the Room Rate Variance Report.
• Process all guest checkins and assign room.
• Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
• Count bank at end of shift and secure bank. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a luxury or highend hotel reception or similar environment preferred
• Customer service experience

• First Aid Certification desirable
• Driver's License essential
• Computer skills essential
• Strong Communication skills & interpersonal skills essential
• Excellent level of spoken and written English essential
• Proactive and reliable
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Excellent presentation & customer care skills
• Able to deal with difficult situations professionally and efficiently
