The Opportunity


The Finished Vehicle Distribution department is responsible for the movement of new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to retailers and customers in over 100 markets worldwide.

We organise, manage and monitor the movement of every vehicle produced globally.

This ensures that delivery takes place in a timely and efficient manner, whilst maintaining the highest build quality levels possible.

Manging our operations and supplier base, as well as developing our current and future distribution strategy, are key to delivering a Customer First service to our markets, retailers and customers worldwide.

Your contribution will help manage our existing operations, whilst transforming and developing solutions for the future.

As a Programme Lead, you'll need to develop strong relationships through regular interaction across the various departments within Jaguar Land Rover.

You will be a key player in the Finished Vehicle Distribution department, working to implement the introduction of new and improved solutions.

You will be a self-starter who is able to demonstrate initiative and a passion for excellence in order to provide a premium service.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Act as a single point of contact for JLR Programme Teams, leading all interaction and communication with the department.
  • Lead the development and implementation of processes and procedures, including new vehicle programmes.
  • Lead and implement transformational workstreams including distribution route change, planning, cost assessment and deployment.
  • Develop departmental reports, forecasting, KPIs, and process mapping.
  • Help develop and drive Distribution's strategic vision through understanding of industry trends and innovations.
  • Experience a wide and varied workload, requiring strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • Ability to quickly understand and challenge processes.
  • Experience of process development and process mapping.
  • Project Management skills or experience.
  • Experience of problemsolving techniques and an ability to drive issues to resolution.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a multifunctional team and to work both strategically and at a detailed level.
  • Ability to communicate and influence others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in Supply Chain / Logistics.
  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Processes are advantageous.
  • Experience in analysing big data tools such as Tableau, Google Cloud Platform or Business Objects.

  • You should be able to work collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders to resolve issues, embed new processes and drive change.
  • You will need to be able to communicate and drive change with compelling and persuasive arguments tailored for your audience.
