The Role:


Looking for a motivated Graduate R&D Laboratory Research Engineer to join the expanding R&D team.


Based in Redditch, responsible for laboratory test and support facilities to enhance product understanding and lifecycle. Conducting tests on fibre-based packaging to ensure top-notch results for customers.


Perfect for individuals who can work autonomously, following detailed test procedures. Involves regular testing and analysis, with chances to refine test methodologies and product technologies, backing the Group R&D and Innovation teams.


About you:


Required to comprehend and adhere to test protocols, always striving for enhancements to aid in process and product improvement.

Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, managing sensitive commercial and technical data. Demonstrate strong reporting abilities using tools like Microsoft Office to deliver precise data and document essential details. Keep thorough records of test status, updating against KPIs. Also responsible for ensuring the lab and equipment comply with correct standards.

Requirements:

  • Holds a BSc degree in a scientific field, preferably Technical/Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Candidates with lab experience preferred, full training provided for the right applicant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates a mix of practical and theoretical skills.
  • Shows strong numeracy skills crucial for lab operations and testing.
  • Experience in the Paper/Packaging Industry a bonus, although relevant test/quality role experience in a large manufacturing environment acceptable.
  • Requires high-level English speaking and writing skills.
