To keep accurate and up to date records of pastoral, spiritual and religious involvement, and to work with the other chaplains in ensuring that the procedures and protocols of the department are understood and communicated within the Trust.

To work with local religious communities in understanding the work of chaplaincy and know how to make referrals to the chaplaincy team.

To liaise at all times with ward staff about the role and involvement of chaplaincy. To provide care in a way sympathetic to the clinical demands and constraints of the ward environment.


To be able to work collaboratively as part of a multi faith team and to be willing to learn how to help and encourage colleagues.

To be able to effectively organise and carry out your own workload on a daily basis and to be in regular supervision.
