Description
Acting as a key point of contact for all KYC queries within the London Finance Team
Providing training and guidance to trainee associates within the Finance Team on the KYC process
Understanding, analysing and obtaining KYC requirements from lenders on each transaction the firm is acting for the borrower/sponsor
Conducting comprehensive client due diligence
Reviewing and verifying client documentation
Reporting findings to the legal department
Assisting in the development of KYC policies and procedures
Collaborating with the legal team on compliance matters
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of KYC regulations
Delivering training on KYC matters to other team members
Profile

A successful KYC paralegal should have:
A degree in law or a related field
Experience in a KYC/AML role in an investment bank or credit/private fund
Excellent understanding of KYC regulations and AML compliance
Experience of KYC/AML requirements in the context of borrowers backed by private equity sponsors
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in professional services industry
Familiarity with legal documentation and procedures
