Job Title: Pedagogy Principal Teacher (Targeted Improvement Group)

- This is an opportunity to have a significant impact within North Lanarkshire Council by contributing to raising student achievement and narrowing the attainment gap associated with poverty.
- We are seeking dedicated teachers with experience and proven effectiveness to join the Targeted Improvement Group under the Scottish Attainment Challenge (SAC) initiative.
The role of a Pedagogy Principal Teacher in the Targeted Improvement Group, which is funded by SAC, involves providing intensive support to educators in selected schools.
As a skilled leader in education, you will demonstrate best practices in literacy and numeracy based on research. You will be instrumental in assisting teachers in enhancing their classroom techniques, ultimately boosting student achievement and enhancing outcomes for young learners.
In addition to improving student performance and monitoring progress, you will ensure the continuity and advancement of learning. Your responsibilities will include working closely with school staff, guiding teachers, and supervising the efforts of Cluster Attainment Teachers to enhance achievement and bridge the poverty-related attainment divide.

- A membership with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a prerequisite for this role.
