Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during lunchtime break.
  • Supervise and engage students in ageappropriate activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Promote good behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
  • Assist students with their lunchtime routines, including queuing for meals, serving food, and encouraging healthy eating habits.
  • Support children with specific needs or disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in lunchtime activities.
  • Respond promptly to any incidents, accidents, or emergencies, following school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow staff members, teachers, and parents to maintain a harmonious and nurturing school environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development and wellbeing of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong observational skills and the ability to handle situations calmly and effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and needs.
  • A proactive and energetic approach to engaging and supervising children during lunchtime activities.
  • A commitment to upholding safeguarding procedures and ensuring the welfare of students.

Working Hours:
The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, during term-time only. The working hours are from 11:30 to 13:30, totalling 10 hours per week.
