Nettleham Parish Council is looking to recruit a Handyperson to work as key member of the Facilities Team.

The role is 10 hours a week, plus additional hours as and when required/agreed, with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful applicant.

The salary will be NJC level 6 (currently £11.42 per hour with a pay award pending).

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager and in conjunction with the existing Handyman the role involves:

  • Day to day grounds and building maintenance, including litter collection and caretaking responsibilities all such duties being consistent with the Parish Council's land and property ownership.
  • Undertaking minor repairs to buildings, fencing and equipment.
  • Undertaking general maintenance of the Nettleham Beck and Burial Ground.

Applicants must:

  • Have the ability to work with and interact with a wide variety of people.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative.
  • Have a willingness to work flexibly as required.
  • Hold a full clean driving licence.

_Fluency Duty_:

  • In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post._
