Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist

This is an ideal opportunity for new graduates, those who are qualifying in the next few months or current Band 5 physiotherapists looking to build on their experience within a supportive, friendly environment.

We currently offer junior rotations across the community. It will give you an excellent feel for how modern health care is delivered in different settings across the Borough of Hounslow. Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapists receive regular supervisions with senior clinicians, monthly band 5 CPD meetings and rotation specific training as part of the band 5 competency program.

We welcome applications from UK trained undergraduate Physiotherapy students who will graduate within the next 3 months. We are committed to delivering high quality care.

Main duties of the job

Rotations include: Out-patient Musculoskeletal, Community Neuro-rehabilitation, a rapid response service for hospital discharges -Integrated Community Response service, community rehab- Community Recovery service, Falls service and hospital based Discharge Hub Home First Team. There may be opportunity for rotation in the acute . Each rotation is for 6 months however the post holder may be required to rotate at an earlier or later date depending on service need.

To manage own caseload, assess plan and implement and evaluate interventions using evidence based/best practice, working towards patient centered goals in the context of the speciality and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Person Specification

Qualifications & knowledge

Essential

Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy or other relevant physiotherapy qualification. Current HPC registration. Have an understanding of the concepts of clinical governance and their implications for clinical effectiveness/best practice` understanding of group/team dynamics

Experience

Essential

Relevant pre-registration physiotherapy experience to include all core rotations.

Skills

Ability to present information, either written as per CSP standards or orally, in a clear and logical manner To work as an autonomous practitioner and have the ability to manage time, prioritise and delegate work Commitment to own self development and learning, demonstrate by CPD portfolio. Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust's policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety and meet the differing needs of the patients. demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to patient care
