We're recruiting for a very dynamic, successful & exciting Project Consultancy & we need an agile, effective, well skilled & communicative IT Administrator / Technician.


This SME works across Construction & Engineering sectors over several sites & this job is based in their smart Head Office in Chester + to cover (in the main remotely) another 2 sites.


IT Administrator / Technician role:


The IT Administrator / Technician is the 'go to' person in the business to give support with installations, repairs & updates.

As this is a standalone role you must be proactive, responsible, solution driven, skilled & effective.

IT Administrator / Technician responsibilities:

  • Maintaining frontline helpdesk support for staff, providing hands on & remote support for phone, hardware / software queries
  • Assist with procurement of new hardware/software
  • Configure new company phones with settings & apps for new starters
  • Configure new computers (Dell) with settings & software ready for allocation to users
  • Configure new computers with asset labels, theft protection & maintain hardware records
  • Undertake regular health checks on employees' computers to maintain efficiency
  • Assist with installation & maintenance of office IT hardware setups & cabling
  • Assist with regular IT reports & meetings with the (very IT focussed, motivated & involved) MD
  • Provide one to one, group or snap video training on specific IT procedures or software
  • Maintain inhouse Sharepoint portal of controlled documents

IT Administrator / Technician skills & experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, working in an office environment & familiarity with Windows environment
  • A concise, friendly & clear communicator able to deal with the end users' wide range of queries

Similar experience is obviously essential but training in the role will begiven.

IT Administrator / Technician Qualifications:

  • A good level of GSCE (Incl. Maths & English)
  • An IT qualification is desirable
