FRS have been enlisted on an exclusive basis to assist with the recruitment of a Group Finance Director / CFO for a rapidly expanding and dynamic PE Backed SaaS / AI Analytics / Technology business.

This position will partner closely with the CEO and PE Investors taking financial stewardship of 4 companies with offices based in the Midlands, London as well as Poland and New Zealand

Each of the companies are SME in scale but each have a history of trade between 10-30 years.

Following recent PE Investment the company are about to embark on a period of growth both organic and via M&A Activity


As such my client is looking for a commercially biased Finance Director / CFO but still needs to have a sound technical accounting knowledge perhaps gained during their earlier career.


The ideal would be an individual that has experience in the SaaS / Tech / Communications Industry with previous experience with M&A activity, strategic decision making and optimising commercial output.

Day to day, you will be working closely with the CEO and commercial teams, to support their forecasting and optimisation.

It's an opportunity to become a key part of the journey and gain valuable exposure to a high growth scale-up business.


In the first 12 months you will:

  • Take full ownership of P&L, including forecasting, budgeting and supporting senior management in delivering on-target numbers for the year.
  • Be the key financial representative for all relevant meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educate stakeholders on the funding & SaaS metrics and trends
  • Work closely with our Sales, Customer Success, and Executive teams to own responsibilities around forecasting and managing business metrics (i.e. Pipeline and Revenue Forecasting)
  • Manage cash flow projections and scenario planning
  • Monitor the balance sheet and the payment of any vested options where appropriate
  • Advise on deal analysis / acquisitions
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior management on fundraising, investor presentations and quantitative storytelling for future exit plans.
  • Utilise your experience with FP&A assumptions to create models geared toward fundraising as well as providing leadership with practical insights and recommendations
  • Take responsibility for educating teams on churn metrics
  • Lead a small finance team of Accountants based in each of the regional business units.
Experience gained with SaaS / Tech / Communications is massively advantageous.


Due to the scale up nature of the businesses, each of the companies have a relatively small finance function based regionally, future recruitment is planned however in the early stages a hands on approach may be required.
