Job Overview:

A Packing Team Leader in these areas are responsible for a team of people and the packing lines.

They must ensure that the packing process is correct and the operatives are packing products in line with the plan and in a timely manner.

They are also responsible for ensuring metal detections, CCPs and paperwork are completed correctly within their areas.

Key Tasks:

  • Setting up and running of the packing lines in the Low-Risk Packing Department.
  • Completion of QA / Technical documentation.
  • Ensure products are packed in line with packing standards.
  • Completion of date code verification.
  • Ensure company documentation is completed correctly.
  • Ensure the staff on their lines are fully trained in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Manage the quality of the products on their lines and ensure staff are not packing products which aren't in line with quality standards.
  • Ensure the lines are running at the correct run rates.
  • Ensure all Company procedures are being adhered to for example, unloading, break testing etc.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed for example, CCPs, H&S, startup checks.
  • Control waste streams.
  • Compliance with the company HACCP and Quality manuals.
  • Compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy and operating procedures.
