About the career opportunity

This is a key role in Y corp. Working closely with Technical, Engineering, Development and other units within the company, you will be responsible for championing and improving the quality of our technology development and delivery, including the end-to-end testing, assurance, and compliance lifecycle.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Own and develop the execution of test plans, test cases, documentation, and every stage of the testing lifecycle.
  • Review artefacts for testability and defining overall testing plans and cycles.
  • Participate in the release control process to ensure that solution meets user requirements and all UAT exit criteria are met.
  • Manage and prioritise defects through resolution
  • Assist engineers in the identification and resolution of defects; monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes; compile all test outcomes in an organised manner.
  • Drive an "automation first" approach to testing.
  • Lead the successful implementation of complex automated testing solutions.
  • Continually ensure you are up to date in the latest industry developments, testing processes, strategies, compliance, and regulations.
  • Provide reports for management and stakeholders on development status.
  • Partner with the technical engineers and developers, to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Aid the development of functional specifications to help the production of quality of technical design.
  • Conduct retrospectives and reviews as part of agile and develops best practices
  • Explore and develop new technical skills and industry practices that add value to Y Corp ongoing evolution.

About You

Qualifications

Min 3 years' experience in QA, Acceptance Testing in the Cloud

Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience developing and implementing test ware from functional design documents executing against a schedule, using standard test methodologies.

Technical Skills

  • Previous experience as a Test Engineer or a related function is required.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Understanding of quality standards and regulations
  • Highly aware of security/cybersec methods and technologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities
  • Quality Assurance certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of standard testing methodologies
  • Proven experience in test engineering in a Cloud (AWS, Azure etc) environment
  • Proven experience of IAC architectures
  • Strong knowledge of functional, non-functional, and exploratory testing.
  • A track record of defining and implementing acceptance test strategies, test plans, test scripts and tools in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of SQL/databases
  • Experience in automated testing (e.g. Selenium, Appium.)
  • Experience with tools such as Jira.
  • Good general technical knowledge, including the ability to talk with technical engineers, product owners and developers to understand user stories and requirements, define acceptance criteria and generate test scripts.
  • Full software development lifecycle and technical expertise, along with software configuration and release management awareness.
  • Highly aware of security methods and technologies
