As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide variety of civil engineering and structural assets, ranging from bridges and roadways to marine structures like piers, quays, and breakwaters. You will serve as an internal consultant for the Engineering department and the broader business to ensure that designs and specifications meet high standards. Leading a program of condition inspections, you will strategically plan maintenance and repairs, driving our sustainability objectives forward. Embrace innovative design and construction techniques to foster progress, and develop detailed designs, work packages, specifications, and drawings for different construction and maintenance projects. We offer support to candidates pursuing chartership, providing mentoring for professional review through the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Hours of Work: 40 hours weekly

Civil Engineer Requirements:

  • BEng/MEng in relevant Engineering discipline, with over 3 years of post-graduate experience
  • Knowledgeable about current design codes
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a structured, methodical approach, the ability to offer ideas, make decisions, and apply sound judgment in problem-solving
  • Proficient in AutoCad or willing to learn
  • Possess a valid UK driving license and own vehicle
