Contract and Delivery Manager at Members� Security Support Service

If you're into managing contracts and diving into new opportunities, this could be your gig The Members� Security Support Service is on the lookout for a Contract and Delivery Manager to take charge of current and upcoming contracts, including those in the procurement pipeline.

In this role, you'll be steering contract delivery while exploring fresh avenues for growth. You'll need to be pumped up and ready to collaborate with a dynamic and expanding team dedicated to supporting MPs and safeguarding democracy.

Reporting to the Head of MSSS, you'll also take on line management responsibilities as the team keeps expanding to adapt to evolving risks. Confidentiality and sensitivity are key when dealing with security matters and contracts�and you'll be right in the thick of it.

If you love engaging with Members of Parliament and their teams, this role goes beyond contract management. It calls for clear communication, top-notch organizing skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Here are some of the cool things you'll be doing in this role:

  • Overseeing contracts that provide security measures and services, including identifying new opportunities. Collaborating with procurement partners to kick off, develop, execute, and supervise new contracts. Engaging with other Government departments and service providers.
  • Creating and implementing contract management plans, performance frameworks, and rigorous auditing processes to ensure contractors deliver high-quality work in line with standards and KPIs. Ensuring great customer service for Members of Parliament.
  • Managing requisitioning and financial reconciliation between the House authorities, Members of Parliament, and suppliers in a timely manner, including reimbursement processes.
  • Leading General Election plans for the MSSS team, developing new ideas, policies, and decision-making frameworks while maintaining an appropriate records management system.
  • Creating risk-assessed oversight for contractor deployments, streamlining processes for delivery and audit, and enhancing current processes for quality, compliance, and service delivery.

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven experience in contract management, particularly in a security context. Proficiency in holding suppliers accountable, managing contractual performance, and maintaining clear records for audits.
  • Leadership skills to manage diverse teams, set objectives, monitor performance, and support development. Upholding values of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the team.
  • Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks, create innovative solutions, and make well-considered decisions. Demonstrated capability to handle sensitive information with care.
  • Establishing authority and credibility swiftly, building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Using logic, empathy, and tenacity to influence positive outcomes.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders. Balancing differing interests with diplomacy and managing ambiguity adeptly.
