Oxford Nanopore's sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis (for rapid insights), in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths.

Our VolTRAX miniature liquid handling system automates the preparation of samples for Nanopore sequencing and is an integral part of this vision.


The Details...


The job holder will lead a small team to design the thin-film transistor (TFT) glass chips that are at the heart of VolTRAX and other digital microfluidic products.

You'll oversee all aspects of chip design from concept to overseeing production at our foundry partners.

What We're Looking For...

Required Skills:

  • Schematic design, simulation and fullcustom layout of analogue integrated circuits.
  • Expert user of transistorlevel IC design infrastructure and eDA tools, Cadence preferred
  • Wafer level IC testing
Ideally, you'll also have experience and abilities in the following areas:

  • Design for manufacture and IC verification
  • IC design automation and analysis tools e.g. SKILL, OCEAN, Verilog-A
  • TFT device physics and circuit design
  • Thinfilm coating materials and manufacturing processes
