Job Description

This role is based out of our Holborn Store Support Centre & Home, you will be required to be in Holborn 1-2 days per week on average.

The role works within the Financial Planning and Analysis team.

In this role you will support our strategic ambitions to deliver robust cashflows of above £1.6bn cash flow and make balanced investment decisions, you'll support a step change in our management reporting of retail free cashflow, net debt and leverage as well as hold our teams to account on forecast accuracy.

You will be pivotal to our conversations on retail free cash flow generation, capital allocation, going concern and viability testing.

More about the role
Success in this role will mean supporting the senior leadership team with understanding cashflow outturn and the key impacts driving movements vs expectation and prior years
Oversight of the generation of of periodic cashflow review packs which provide clear storytelling and insight to the reader
Support on building and updating financial modelling in excel to support our external financial statements and policies in relation to Cash
Management of the Latest View, Corporate Plan and Budgeting processes in relation to Cashflow
Build an external perspective and use outputs to engage and influence the business
Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis for cashflow and provide recommendations where applicable
Stepping up to cover the Head of Finance where needed
Support upskilling and knowledge share with wider finance team to raise profile and focus on Cash
More about you
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
Strong cash flow experience
Proven experience of collating, consolidating and reporting of complex data
Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers
Ability to effectively communicate and challenge senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen to manage financial performance
Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously, build and utilise a broader cross-functional network
Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Proven ability and desire to deliver change
