Responsibilities of a kitchen assistant/Trainee Cook

:

  • Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sellby dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
  • Washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
  • Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures.

Requirements of a kitchen assistant/Trainee Cook
