We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Technical Contract Services Team (TCS) within Capital Delivery & Design (CDD) working closely with the Project Managers and Project Engineers to manage compliance activities focusing on the inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment located at our operational sites. The role will have a high level of responsibility for the management of various critical activities to achieve full compliance against the regulations and company standards and to provide a crucial service and interface for all Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy stakeholders. You will be required to programme manage third party frameworks, operational and capital budgets and coordinate the compliance activities and technical support for ST and HD with adherence to legislation, such as LOLER, PSSR, DSEAR and COSHH.

You will be responsible for both operation and capital financial management related to the delivery of compliance activities ensuring all deliverables are completed within budget, on time and to agreed standards.

You will take ownership of relevant statutory compliance work streams and innovation projects working with a team offering technical support and a central point of contact for all internal stakeholders in ST & HD.

Successful supply chain and service provider management will be a key part of the role providing consistent, dependable and technically competent frameworks to deliver the work and to develop professional external relationships.

You would be required to measure performance against strict compliance criteria and service level agreements ensuring the ongoing successful delivery of the contracts, and to ensure any issues and risks will be resolved immediately.

You would be responsible for managing internal and external stakeholder relationships via regular review meetings, attending comm cells & team meetings.

You will be responsible for managing and updating records on the centralised database on SharePoint so data analysis and record keeping skills are essential.

Close working with ST & HD Health and Safety teams will be required to support with H&S standards, regulation and legislation updates, safety bulletins and accident investigations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

A record of accomplishment of delivering multi-site projects with operational and H&S risk.

Experience in the operational processes of ST & HD and a good understanding of maintenance and operational tasks.

A strong working knowledge of implementing regulations in the delivery of projects.

A strong understanding of budget management with operational and capital spend.

Experience of working closely with the supply chain in delivering projects (with emphasis on adherence to deliverables, milestones, specification, H&S, outputs, and quality).

A proven knowledge of managing contractors and suppliers.

An excellent understanding of managing health and safety related risks.

Understanding of ST & HD's systems, processes and budget management tools.

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you have..

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to manage expectations and motivate direct and third party teams.

The confidence to challenge team members and external suppliers to ensure project deliverables are achieved to agreed time, cost and quality standards.

The ability to drive delivery through others, delegating work appropriately in order to achieve compliance and project completion.

The ability to be innovative and challenging in the identification of problems, risks and issues and in producing resolutions or mitigation plans.

Confident to drive new thinking and innovation into the statutory compliance delivery processes.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
