We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of HSE, to provide leadership to a widely dispersed team of multi-national HSE professionals (both specialists and generalists) in supporting the business to implement the requirements of the Syngenta HSE Management System.

As the organizational conscience for all HSE aspects within the region, you will foster a positive safety culture and guide the business to maintain compliance with internal and external requirements, focusing on low to medium-risk sites, maintaining our Licence to Operate (LTO) and meeting the defined HSE performance targets.

You will drive the implementation of the Group HSE strategy, provide professional advice to regional leadership teams, and manage the delivery of key HSE initiatives.

Additionally, you will oversee the audit and assurance framework, and promote shared learning and continuous improvement opportunities from HSE events and networks.

In this role, you would be vital in our mission to achieve HSE Goal Zero.

Extensive operational experience in Syngenta or within a related industry in Health, Safety or Environmental management, at a regional or Global level.

Internationally recognized qualification in HSE management and/or a specialist HSE discipline.
Detailed operational knowledge of HSE Management Systems and a working knowledge of existing and developing relevant HSE legislation.
Excellent project and change management skills and experience (cross functional, multinational, matrix).
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills up to exec level, with strong influencing/persuasion ability.

Competent and capable of directing others in standard HSE processes: Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment, Identifying and developing appropriate mitigation, Audit.
