With Residential Care Homes and Supported Living across Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Solihull, Individual Care Services can adapt to our clients needs, support Local Authorities and provide bespoke services to private customers 24/7.

We are now looking for a Minibus Driver to join our team in the Warwick area to transport clients to and from Day Centre on Tuesdays and activities and/or appointments during the week.

Duties:

• To move passengers smoothly from one destination to another, supervising the loading and unloading of physically disadvantaged passengers.
• Must be able to successfully/correctly operate the adaptive equipment and report any inconsistencies or repairs that need to be made to keep the vehicle safe and operable for its special uses.
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
• To communicate in a professional, constructive and nondiscriminatory manner with service users, carers and members of the public.
• Learn and adapt to each client's special medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.
• Follow assigned route and adhere to established schedules.
• Be responsible for all safety factors related to the journey e.g. loading and unloading passengers and operating all adaptive equipment in absolute accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Report immediately to a member of Senior Management any suspicions of any breach of Safeguarding protocols, policies or procedures.
• Ensure at all times that service users are treated with respect and ensure that their privacy and dignity is maintained.
• Ensure at all times that confidential information is not divulged to third parties.
• Check bus for mechanical defects before and after each journey and notify supervisor of needed repairs.
• It is the Driver's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy at all times. All faults /hazards must be reported immediately to the Service Manager or Regional Service Manager in their absence.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good level of English and communication skills
• All applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• For Insurance reasons, applicants must be aged 25 and over.
• Some experience with adults with Learning Disabilities would be desirable but not essential
