We are recruiting an experienced Estimator to join a market leading company who processes High Performance Vision and Insulated Glass Panels for use in the construction industry.

The main duty of the position is to determine the overall costs of new and existing construction projects, creating a list with all the needed materials and calculating an estimated cost necessary to complete the client's project.


Key skills will include:

  • Analysing drawings and specifications
  • Preparing tenders, estimates and cost plans all while meeting the clients timeframes
  • Checking the client's requirements
  • Preparation of costs sheets, including quantity take-offs
  • Drawing up detailed and accurate price lists for everything needed on a construction project
  • Considering risk assessments and health and safety requirements
  • Maintaining customer information on the CRM system
  • Ensuring all Sales and Estimating reports are complete and timely
  • Develop relationships with suppliers in order to assist with cost requirements
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities in order to keep quotes competitive.
This is a hybrid role, working 1 – 2 days per week from the company's head office in Huddersfield.

This position will suit has an experienced Glazing Estimator who has a high level of attention to detail, effective organisational and communication skills (both and orally and written), and experience of providing excellent customer service.
