In your new role
You will predominantly be supporting the recruitment needs for our two Scottish brands, ACAD and Spark of Genius
ACAD is a well-established residential childcare and education provider based across Scotland and have been providing residential childcare service since 2001.
Spark of Genius is one of Scotland's largest residential child care providers. For over 25 years, they have been delivering high quality care to young people who need to be looked after.
Reporting into the Senior Resourcing Business Partner, the Field based recruiter will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of recruitment and onboarding strategies within your small division.
You will build close and effective working relationships with operations and key stakeholders, delivering a robust commercial resourcing plan aimed to deliver against company and divisional targets.
This a hugely rewarding role, one that will provide you the opportunity to have a genuine positive impact, highlighting the difference of a high performing Recruitment and Onboarding function can make to our services.
You will be an experienced recruiter with the ability to use a wide and diverse range of skills and sources to attract, recruit and retain talent.
The FBR takes responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment cycle, from attracting and finding talent, to interviewing and hiring.
You'll be supported by a Senior Resourcing Business Partner, Senior Recruitment consultant, Resourcing Coordinator, your FBRs in the field and a highly effective Onboarding Team.
Key duties:
- Implementing the overall recruiting strategy for the region in close consultation with the Resourcing Business Partner, SMT, Regional Managers, Leads & Home Managers
- Utilising our new ATS system to its full potentially, benefiting from automated processes aimed at providing you more time to source, attract and hire talent
- Attending all local Recruitment Events, Job Fairs and Open days
- Conducting interviews along with Operational Staff
- Support with the Preemployment and regulatory Onboarding required in our sector
- Provide regular and well documented recruiting reports
Person Specification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Recruiter. This can be in house, agency or a similar field based role
- Proven track record with all contemporary attraction and recruitment techniques and practice
- Hands on experience with all selection processes phone screening, face to face interviewing, reference checking and DBS processes etc
- Ability to organise skills assessment centres and manage Jobs Fairs and Recruitment Open Days
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems and excellent Excel, analytical and reporting skills
- Articulate, proactive and professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decisionmaking, negotiation and influencing skills
- Clean Full Driving License
- RTW in UK
Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge of Recruitment within the Children's Services Sector, specifically Safer Recruitment
- Knowledge of Recruitment within the Social Care Sector, specifically Children's Homes Regulations (CQC and Ofsted) (Preferred but not essential)
- Experience of delivering an operational Recruitment Plan aligned to challenging commercial goals and business objectives
- Exposure to Workforce Planning within healthcare or another fastpaced, corporate environment (not essential)
- Knowledge of antidiscrimination and equal opportunities legislation
