Site Location:
BorgWarner Ltd, Roydsdale Way, Euroway Industrial Estate, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD4 6SE (refer to T&C's for location description and travel requirements)

Hours: 37.5 Hours (hours may vary as required for the business)

Days of Work:
Monday to Friday, some weekend and Bank Holiday work may be required

Overall Purpose:
To carry out Quality Department (Metrology Lab) activities associated with in house quality requirements

Integral team member of the Metrology Auditing department providing a professional and speedy service to our internal / external customers.

Lead Metrologist (CMM Programmer/Operator)

Key responsibilities:

• Advanced Programming / Operating Zeiss & Mitutoyo CMM and Hommel/ Formline / Roundscan
• Product / tooling measurements using conventional instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Stand, Thread Gauge etc)
• Lead measurement contact with internal stakeholders (Design, Operations, Process Engineering, Supplier Quality) for all aspects of metrology
• Ability to lead and mentor the metrology department to upskill the team in advanced measurement techniques
• Internal lead for implementing emerging advancements in measurements technologies (IE 3D scanning)
• Lead representation for metrology department within all design reviews. Accurate and timely completion of all Gauge and Machine / Capability Studies
• Timely and accurate sample inspection

Knowledge & Experience:
External

• Highly experienced CMM Programmer and operator within Zeiss Calypso / Mitutoyo COSMOS on complex machined components with tolerances
