Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of our dedicated and hardworking independent pharmacy team. To provide a friendly, caring and professional service to our customers. This is a responsible position that requires concentration and a good eye for detail as accuracy is important.

You must be able to work and communicate as part of a team in a busy fast paced environment, be able to prioritise a varied workload and effectively multi-task.

Previous Pharmacy experience is an essential requirement with an NVQ level 2 Dispensing qualification.

We are really excited for a new member to join our team. We are an independent run pharmacy and we care about our employees.

There are a variety of shift patterns available.

We're early birds and night owls, flexibility is really important to us as you will need to be able to work some late shifts (finish at 6.30pm) and weekends when required.

The majority of our team work every other Saturday and then they take a day off mid week to prevent them working six days a week.


Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Label, dispense, check and endorse prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the safe supply and appropriate storage of medicines.
  • Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste.
  • Create and update patient medication records in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Assist where necessary with the preparation and management of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
  • Check endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions and file correctly to ensure maximum payments are received with mínimal losses.
  • Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
  • Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary and back shop areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives.
  • Participate in the delivery of any additional services (stop smoking advice, blood pressure testing etc) for which you will have received adequate training.

Working Hours:
Part time/ Full time

Monday to Saturday

Job Type:
Permanent (6month probation period)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday 5 days a week (including alternate Saturdays-A day off will be given in the week)

Experience:

- pharmacy Dispenser NVQ2: 3 years (preferred)

Full time hours: 37.5 hours per week (Option for part time)

DBS check will be required

Must have a full UK driving license

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers are required to wear a mask. All areas are sanitised on a regular basis.
