Salary: £75 - £100 per day

GSL Education is looking for an English as an Additional Language Teaching Assistant to support secondary Schools in Sunderland.

Job Summary: English as an Additional Language Teaching Assistants in secondary settings support the learning activities of younger children under the direction of a lead teacher, focusing on fundamental educational activities and learning English language through play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support EAL students in their learning journey, providing tailored assistance in understanding and using English.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies and materials.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with EAL students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the varying needs of students.
  • A proactive and positive approach to learning and teaching.
  • Relevant qualifications and training in education or language support.
