Football Coach

J.Ellis Football are recruiting a freelance coach for our School Sessions that operate weekly. This role is term time only - starting from September 2023.

The Role:


The coach will be responsible for delivery of our content & DNA Philosophy, ensuring players are engaged, learning and having fun.

As well as this, they will have progression opportunities to coach our weekly DNA Sessions & Club Courses. Full training, session theory & CPD content will be supplied. Kit, equipment & insurance are also supplied by J.Ellis Football.

£20 per session (UEFA C / Level 2)
£25 per session (UEFA B)

Specific Tasks:

  • Take ownership and responsibility to understand the philosophy and content
  • Deliver in line with 'How we coach' & 'Why we coach'
  • Adopt a variety of coaching styles
  • Be the main point of contact for individuals you work with
  • Be responsible for ensuring our participants have a positive experience of football
  • Maintain an in depth understanding of coaching best practices
  • Be responsible for equipment and storage of equipment between sessions
  • Create and maintain a relationship with club officials, parents, schools and key stakeholders
  • Be committed to continuous professional development

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend our sessions and coach the participants
  • Plan, do & review sessions
  • Bring a fun, positive and friendly nature to our sessions
  • Be committed to supporting the grassroots game
  • Manage equipment _(School equipment stays on site)_

Requirements and Skills

Essential:

Proven experience within the game / UEFA C / FA Level 2 or UEFA B Qualified / FA Safeguarding & DBS up to date / Ability to travel and use of own transport.


Desirable:

A history of coach mentoring roles / Knowledge of the local grassroots landscape / 3+years 'On the grass' coaching experience / School football coaching experience / FA Level 4 / UEFA A.

£20.00-£25.00 per hour
